Virtual VBS 2020 - STORIES JESUS TOLD
This summer, the Church of the Good Samaritan is offering a completely unique "virtual" VBS called STORIES JESUS TOLD where we will be exploring some of the parables of Jesus!
This is something of a "buffet" where parents can choose which parts they would like their kids to experience. There will be a large library of video options (including skits, songs, stories, lessons, etc) and also some NON VIDEO elements (worksheets, crafts, podcasts, suggested family activities, etc). We will have an optional LIVE element each morning from June 22 to June 26 where we will do a "Zoom Watch Party" and use some (but not all) of the videos we have put together. A listing of each day's "live" videos as well as the suggested supplemental material will be listed clearly in an email sent to all of you.
Our goal was to give you, the parents, as much control as possible. Your child can be a part of this VBS with barely any screen time OR you can use ALL the videos (or everything in between). This model allows for your family to go through this VBS on your own LATER in the summer. You can even SHARE the VBS materials to friends all over the country!
And one of the best things is that it is COMPLETELY FREE! That's right... This VBS is provided at no cost! So spread the word! (As always, we gladly accept and greatly appreciate donations if anyone feels lead to give towards the Children's Ministries, but there is absolutely no obligation.)
For those who are local AND sign up via the online form (see the link below), we will provide the materials for the crafts, the games, the worksheets, etc. We will have a "VBS Packet Pick Up" at the church on Sunday, June 21 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. (More details will be sent about that closer to the date.) This is why we need registrations! We need to know how many worksheets to print, how many googly eyes to purchase, and how many kids to expect on the live zoom calls! We are VERY excited about this VBS and we can't wait for you to experience it!!!
Please remember that you can always contact Jonathan Hobbs (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions.
To register, you can click on the button below or CLICK HERE! And as mentioned above, we really do want your help getting the word out! Please consider sharing about this via social media, email, etc. Tell your friends! All elementary-aged kids are invited to participate!
