Dance Ministry
"Praise Him with the timbrel and dance." Psalm 150:4 What is Sacred Dance? It is such a privilege to express your love for Jesus Christ through movement, entering into a deeper place of relationship with Him as you dance before Him. The Dance Choir seeks to both draw closer to Jesus day by day and to encourage others in their walk with Him. About the Group Gwen Prestwood and Valerie Henry founded the Good Samaritan Dance Choir in 1983. They shared the vision to establish an inter-denominational community of amateur and professional Christian dancers who would use performance ministry for praise, worship, teaching, and evangelism. Additionally, programs and concerts are presented elsewhere -- to other churches, nursing homes, orphanages, or other ministries. Some members of the Dance Choir have also participated in arts missions work overseas in countries such as Latvia, Russia, the Ukraine, Mexico, Bolivia and Israel. Dance Instruction A comprehensive program of dance instruction is offered at the church from beginner through advanced levels, ranging from children to adults.
