North Dakota Mission Dakota 2004 Missions Team Fact Sheet When? Leave from Paoli (The Church Parking Lot) - Date TBA, usually a Friday in July Return to Paoli (The Church Parking Lot) Where? Ft. Yates, North Dakota on the Standing Rock Reservation located 1 hour South of Bismark, ND Who are our hosts? The members of "Club Night" (the elementary school youth group) from St. Luke’s Church (Episcopal), its congregation, and minister, Fr. John Floberg. Who should consider going? Adults and students from the middle school age* and onward who love kids from kindergarten through middle school, love Jesus, and are open to a life-changing experience * Students currently in middle school are eligible to apply. Application  does not necessarily mean acceptance to the team. What is the purpose of the trip? To partner with the senior youth from St. Luke’s by implementing a 5 day Vacation Bible School (VBS). Attendees will be limited to the 30-45 members of Club Night and their guests. Club Night is the youth program at St. Luke’s for kids from kindergarten through 5th grade. To strengthen the desire of those members of Club Night who are about to go into middle school to continue in church activities. The Team’s efforts will help St. Luke’s Church continue to establish a middle school youth program. As Good Samaritan youth and St. Luke’s senior youth come alongside each other, encourage each other’s walk with God. What is it like?  It’s as though we’re in a third world country; We enter a wonderful yet alien culture; we work alongside people who indelibly etch themselves in our hearts; we sleep in tents on the grounds of the church and cook in the church’s fellowship hall. The work is hard; yet, almost everyone returns with a different perspective on his or her lives; the rewards are priceless What are the responsibilities of being a team member? Team members are responsible for raising $650 to cover the airplane flight, food, replacement for a few tents, VBS Supplies, etc. Team members will be given guidance in this process How do I apply?  Pray for God’s guidance and fill out the Application.
